How our sessions work
Session length
Each session runs for 1 hour: 50 minutes of focused teaching + a 10 minute parent check-in.
This gives families consistent communication and ensures we adapt quickly to your child’s needs.
Learning approach
Breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps
Building independence so students don’t rely on constant help
Creating a low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable asking questions
Supporting organisation and study habits alongside content
We don’t just help students keep up — we help them feel more confident and in control of their learning.
Group size
Small groups (max 4 students) so every child receives individual attention without feeling overwhelmed.
Who is this program for?
This program is ideal for students who:
Feel overwhelmed by schoolwork
Are falling behind or struggling to keep up
Lack confidence in their abilities
Avoid asking for help in class
Need support with organisation and study habits
What Makes It Different?
High school can feel overwhelming. Many students shut down before they ask for help.
We create a space where students feel comfortable, supported, and understood.
With a social work-informed approach, we support both academic progress and the emotional side of learning.
Outcomes
Students often:
Feel more in control of their workload
Gain confidence asking questions
Improve organisation and study habits
Reduce stress around school
